Rescue-Dog Walking, Free Animal Doctor
Walking two rescue dogs, Happy and Mojo, up Runyon Canyon with Free Animal Doctor, with the money raised going toward the organization’s dog-food costs.
We walked Happy and Mojo up Runyon Canyon in Los Angeles. I love dogs, so this was one of the most enjoyable volunteer experiences I have had, but it was also useful work: the funds raised went to feeding the animals in the organization’s care.
It felt meaningful to help two dogs get exercise, grow more comfortable around people, and receive support after being abandoned. Care, I have learned, is not only for people.
