English Mentoring in Vietnam & Korea
Weekly English lessons for two young siblings in Vietnam and Korea, from September to December 2024, through Hwarang International.
I taught English for an hour each week, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., working with two siblings: a third-grade boy and a fourth-grade girl. To make the lessons more engaging, I used games like Hangman and introduced the grammar gradually: nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and pronouns.
They seemed to genuinely enjoy the lessons, and at the end of one class, they asked whether I would be back the next week. That small question was the most rewarding part, and I felt grateful that the hour with me meant something to them too.
