Hangang River Cleanup
A recurring chapter commitment, cleaning litter along the Hangang River every other Saturday, one of Seoul’s most visited public spaces.
Because so many people gather at the Hangang for picnics, exercise, and rest, trash builds up fast in the public areas. Our chapter spent several hours on alternating Saturdays picking up litter along the river.
It is unglamorous work, but I felt genuinely satisfied when a stretch of the riverside looked clean again, especially when people exercising nearby noticed and thanked us. Doing it on a schedule, rather than once, is what made it feel like real stewardship.
