Cupcakes for Elderly Citizens
Around Christmas, marking a year of our chapter’s monthly visits with elderly citizens, we baked small cupcakes to bring to them.
Our chapter met to reflect on the elderly-visit project we had kept up for about a year. Since it was near Christmas, we decided to make something ourselves rather than just deliver store-bought goods, so we baked small cupcakes.
We brought the cupcakes along with soy milk, cookies, and other snacks. It was a simple gesture, but it let us celebrate the relationships we had built with the elderly citizens over a full year of visits.
